Based in Toronto, Canada; he completed his degree in Visual Arts at the National Institute of Art and a Postgraduate degree in Visual and Critical Studies at (SAIC) School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Hugo has been working as a curator, programmer and art administrator for artist-run-centres, art collectives and cultural associations including: Espacio Ecléctico; Southern Currents Film and Video Collective, aluCine Toronto Latin Media Arts Festival, “Digital Event” by e-fagia-Visual & Media Art Organization, ArtsXplosion Cultural Society; Latin American Dossier of Arts and Toronto Animated Image Society. He has published art articles in Latidos and Bold Magazine. He was honoured by the Toronto Hispanic Vision Awards 2012, Since 2003 he has worked at TOLive - Civic Theatres Toronto.
Guillermina is a Toronto-based artist, and holds a BFA from the National University of Fine Arts P. Pueyrredón (Argentina), a Bachelor of Media Arts from the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, and an MFA from the OCAD Ontario College of Art and Design University. During the past few years, Guillermina has been programming for different festivals and venues including: !e Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires and Bogotá, BIM (Bienal de Arte en Movimiento), Inside Out LGTB Festival, New Toronto Works, !e Experimental Media Congress, and the Planet in Focus Environmental Film and Video Festival, among others. Guillermina curated "Mobile Perspectives" a symposium, media exhibition at OCADU and Fundacion Telefónica in Argentina. She also was a vice-chair of the Board at the Images Festival.
Is an independent filmmaker, writer and audiovisual artist based between Rosario, Argentina and Toronto, Canada. Matías holds his BA in Social Communication from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR). He has been working as a professor at Universidad Abierta de Adults (UAPAM) delivering cinema courses, art video and experimental hand-made workshops; he taught in an elementary school (Mariano Moreno Elementary School) film workshops for children since 2012 to 2016. He has won awards in art photography. He produce his own experimental films and videos; some of them have been selected and screened in different film festivals around the world. He also was part of the LIFT Round-Up 2016 a screening series. He has working in different videos.
Carolina was born in Mexico; actually she is based in Buenos Aires city. Carolina has been the executive producer in many International Films Festival like Mar del Plata International Film Festival and Bafici (Argentina International Independent Film Festival). She also has been executive producer of various feature films that were screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Rotterdam International Film Festival among many others. She has also worked for the Argentinean Ministry of Culture and as a professor of Film and Video at the University of Films in Buenos Aires city. Carolina is owner of Brava Productions; with focus on the realization of multidisciplinary productions; such as radio, television and cinematography.
Kathleen Mullen is an independent filmmaker, film programmer and film consultant. For over 18 years Kathleen Mullen has programmed for film festivals internationally. Kathleen was the full-time Artistic Director of Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival and she worked as the Director of Programming at Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival and for two years she programmed the Short Cuts Canada section at the Toronto International Film Festival. She is the Festival Director at Seattle Queer Film Festival. Other programming include the San Francisco International Film Festival and Vancouver International Film Festival. Kathleen has an Master of Arts from Carleton University and a Master of Fine Arts from York University.
Ken Moffatt is member Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Community Services as well as Professor of Social Work at Ryerson University. He has recently published Postmodern Social Work focussed on how we face personal and social precariousness due to our neoliberal, capitalist economic and social structures. He considers the effect of information technology and media on our notions of freedom and subjectivity. He engages in an interdisciplinary approach to reflective pedagogy, meaning making, and student engagement with a special interest in the concept of the self; he works for the commitment to social democratic ideals, to expanding our understanding of cultural space, and working against social exclusion.
